A Year

Wow. It's been a year. A whole entire year. To me it doesn't seem like that much time has passed. Not at all. But at the same time I realize so much has happened, which makes the fact that it's been a whole year seem a little more believable. Everything in this world is constantly changing, which doesn't take a real genius to figure out. A quite literal example unveiled itself to me; the place where I was when I found out has been closed down... probably for several months now. There is some part of it all that I believe will always feel at least somewhat unrealistic to me. I know that so much of what actually happened has been skewed by all my emotions at the time and by how much time has passed. There are many years still ahead of me that will be used for looking back and remembering conversations and events that occurred. Sometimes with a smile on my face, other times with tears in my eyes. Those years will also be used for learning that indeed, "life goes on". I love you and miss you.
